Internet Protocol Suite

The internet protocol suite is commonly known as TCP/IP. It is a set of protocols.

Its development origins with the development of ARPANET in 1969. The official date of adoption of TCP/IP was 1983.

The development of TCP/IP started before Open System Interconnection (OSI) model was developed, so they are different models.
