DosBox is an MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System) OS emulator.
DosBox is configured based on parameters located in a file that is called DoxBox.conf, regardless the operating system.
This post describes how to locate and modify configuration file DoxBox.conf in a macOS X system.
Steps to modify DosBox.conf file in macOS
1. Go to “Home” folder
Open Finder and go to menu bar > “Go” > “Home”.
2. Display hidden files
Press Cmd + Shift + . inside the folder in order to display hidden files and folders
3. Go to the path where dosbox.conf is located
This path is informed in DosBox.conf documentation:

As default, this path is:
~/Library/Preferences/DOSBox 0.73 Preferences
~ represents the home folder of the Mac OS X session user.
You may change the DOSBox version number (in this example, 0.73) when looking for the preferences folder
4. Open file to edit
Double click on file to open it with TextEditor (default application).
