Public Key Cryptography Standards

The Public Key Cryptography Standards (PCKS) are a group of public-key cryptography standards devised and published by American company RSA.

  • PKCS #1: RSA algorithm
  • PKCS #3: Diffie-Hellman algorithm
  • PKCS #5: private key encryption
  • PKCS #6: certificate extended format
  • PKCS #7: digital enveloped format used in S/MIME
  • PKCS #8: private key syntax
  • PKCS #9: certificate extended format
  • PKCS #10: certification request (precertificate format)
  • PKCS #11: interface for devices storing cryptographic storage data and functions
  • PKCS #12: personal information exchange systax standard, to store and transfer user private key
  • PKCS #15: interface for devices storing cryptographic storage data and functions
