Stratagus
Stratagus is a game engine behind the reimplementation of WarCraft II and StarCraft.
WarCraft II was released for MS-DOS, Mac OS in 1995 and Saturn and PlayStation in 1997.
Starcraft was released for Windows in 1998.

OpenTTD (Transport Tycoon Deluxe)
OpenTTD is a reimplementation of Transport Tycoon Deluxe (1995).
It is released under a FOSS (free and open-source) GPL-v2.0-only license.
D2X-XL (Descent 1 & 2)
D2X-XL is a reimplementation of Descent (1995) and Descent 2 (1996).
They were first published for MS-DOS.
C-Dogs SDL (C-Dogs)
C-dogs was released in 1997 for MS-DOS. It became open source in 2002.
C-Dogs SDL was a C-dogs reimplementation using the SDL framework.
