NIST CSRC
NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) is a unit of the Commerce Department of the USA.
NIST documentation is aimed to USA federal government organizations, but as they are in the public domain it can be read and applied by any organization.
NIST CSRC (Computer Security Resource Center) is a section within the NIST.
NIST CSRC has a series of publications related to cybersecurity standards, including:
- Federal Information Processing Standard Publication (FIPS). Standards for the USA government.
- Special Publication (SP) 800 series. They develop the USA government procedures, policies, and guidelines on information systems
